Philosophy

I believe:

• Birth is fun! It is a one of a kind event, a rite of passage, and a bridge from womanhood to motherhood.
• Pregnancy is a joyous event whether a surprise, planned or with medical aid.
• Birth is a normal and natural process that women were created to experience.
• All babies are created uniquely and yet equally and deserve a gentle and loving welcome into our world.
• Women have a powerful ability to support one another.
• Anxiety or fear about birth is normal. Educating yourself on birth is confidence building and anxiety lifting.
• Doulas are a great addition to your birthing team - be that a friend, a mother or a trained doula.
