Thanks so much for all you beautiful families that came out to the maternity fair at St. Joseph East and for stopping at the Baby Moon booth to see what we offer… individualized childbirth prep, prenatal yoga and more.
I still have a few spots open in my class that begins Wednesday 12th and will be offering a Baby Class 1/2 off for anyone that signs up for the 5 week birth series.
Remember that I will be announcing a winner for this awesome gift basket late on Monday. If you’ve signed up for the giveaway at the maternity fair, your name will be entered into the drawing. You can also comment on any post on this blog and get a second entry to increase your chance of winning!

The Maternity Fair was a blast, and it was great to meet you and see what all you have to offer! Most new parents are scared, so it’s good to know that we can go to one of your classes to learn things and meet other people like us!!!

The Maternity Fair was extremely informative, especially for me since this is my first pregnancy. Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions about the Birth/Baby classes and not to mention the Yoga classes and the breastfeeding classes that you offer. You provided me with alot of helpful information and I am looking forward to starting these classes. How far along do I need to be before I can start signing up for any of these classes you offer?

Lauren, it was nice meeting you at the maternity fair. Baby moon is an awesome source for women who are expecting and who may alread have little ones. We had our birthing class there and refer all of our pregnant moms over to you guys. Keep up the great work!

I’m so thrilled that everyone found the fair informative and fun. I really think that Lexington is growing into a great place to have a baby. Getting educated and staying connected are the two most important things that you can do!

Oh and Lisa, I would suggest getting into a birth class around 28-30 weeks. My classes are 5 weeks long, so 30 weeks is the very latest that I would start a series. It’s important to know certain movements and postures before your baby gets locked down into your pelvis and ‘drops’. But if nothing on the calendar works for you, we can always do a private class!

Does your 5 week class ‘replace’ in a way the classes that are offered by the hospitals or is it still a good idea to attend both to get different perspectives? I am looking for a comprehensive education but also want to explore natural options as much as possible. Thanks!

Amy C, that’s a great question. I have lots of students that attend both the hospital class and mine. I will cover ALL things that are expected of you in the hospital as well as multiple ways to birth, positions, relaxation anatomy, etc. Since I have had two babies in a Lexington hospital, have attended a hospital course and have worked as a doula in each hospital around I can say with confidence that you will be fully prepared for birth (education wise!) by attending my class.
The hospital classes are good for informing you of what is expected of you as a patient. But this I cover too! Hope that helps!

Thanks for coming to the Maternity Fair. Glad to see you sharing more information on your classes. I went to one with my first pregnancy, and it was very helpful! I plan on attending more with this pregnancy also!
