I just had to share... I just discovered there is a good amount of protein in Egg Noodles, and very low fat. I like tossing some tuna right out of the can with egg noodles and parm. cheese. Did you know a can of regular chunk light tuna has 26 grams of protein!!!! Wow!

yes! you can use whichever you like. I cooked mine in a tasty broth, strained and cooled. add olive oil, diced red onions(or yellow) feta cheese, fresh crushed pepper, and seasonings you like, really. If you want to kick it up a notch diced up some jalapenos.

yay! I have lentils and I have feta. I cannot imagine a lentil salad, but I love the idea. I have red and yellow, I think. Will either work?

I like mixing a carnation instant breakfast with skim milk for a low fat snack too, it equals about 16 grams of protein. Lentils are another "Excellent" source of protein! as much protein as in beef. If you buy a bag of dried lentils they don't have to soak overnight like most dried beans. On these Hot Summer Days, a Lentil Salad is Delicious! I just made a Lentil Salad with olive oil and feta cheese, it's Fantastic!! the feta cheese adds protein too.

oops... hope you weren't holding your breath until I updated on my day's protein intake.

alright so, a midday snack:
1 apple and 1 oz of cheese=7 grams

Luna bar: http://lunabar.com/products/protein/=
12 Grams

Chicken breast (21 grams), roasted veggies (don't know!) and mixed rice with wild and brown (around 5 grams) with a cup of milk (8 grams)= 26 grams

=53
+ 38 (from first post)
---------------------
91 grams

*Whew! That wasn't super easy... but doable and delicious!

Cottage Cheese is another great high protein, high calcium food! I ate a lot when I was pregnant and my kids both love it too! Great with whole grain crackers, some fresh fruit, or carrot sticks.
