BabyBodyBirth classes are fun, interactive and focus on aspects of adult learning with various teaching techniques. They are unlike many other birthing classes that only offer a subdued environment in which to learn and prepare for birth. Birth is fun! and can look very different depending on the family’s personalities and desires for their own experience.
Although, in my class, I play some mellow music when we have labor practice I also like to spice things up with some spunky tunes too. Many of my students have requested a class “playlist” and so here it is…

Pink Martini (particularly “Sympathique”)
Over the Rhine (“Drunkard’s Prayer” and “Trumpet Child”)
David Gray (“Life in Slow Motion” and “A New Day at Midnight”)
Michael Buble (at random)
Frank Sinatra (at random)
Nora Jones (“Not Too Late” and “Come Away with Me”)

These are the trusty discs that I always have with me for class… but I might throw in some Phish, Adele and Ani DiFranco soon… who knows. I like to keep it fun, lively, and comfy!
